Esther Ross Lerner, 100 years old, died peacefully June 20, 2014, at the Mather in Evanston, Ill., where she had lived for 11 years.
She was born in Lorain, Ohio, the much loved daughter of Sam and Bertha Ross. She was also the dear older sister of her late brothers, David, Gene and Oliver Ross. She was the devoted wife of the late Adolph J. “Bob” Lerner, and the very loving mother of Eve Lewis, Susan (John) Friedberg and Ross (Nicole) Lerner. She was the treasured grandmother of Amy (Scott) Murphy, Ben (Wendy) Lewis, Matthew Lewis, Laura (Ben) Barnett and Carolyn (Holt) Sherman; and also the dear “G-G” of Jack, Wyatt, Finn, Joshua, Isabella, Jillian, Samantha, Ari, Ethan and Ryan.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, at Salem Cemetery, 1459-1461 E. North Ridge Road, Sheffield, Ohio. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date in Evanston.
