James W. Sullivan Sr., 65, of Vickery died Wednesday morning, May 19, 2010, in Firelands Regional Medical Center Main Campus following a lengthy illness.
He was born Jan. 14, 1945, in Sandusky. He was a painter and member of Painters' Local 788, Sandusky. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandchildren and also watching them play sports.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah (Taylor) Sullivan; two daughters, Tonya (John) Reed of South Bend, Ind., and Kathy Sullivan of Clyde; son, James (Crystal) Sullivan Jr. of Mishawaka, Ind.; five grandchildren, Dalton Sullivan, Austin Moore, Mathew Sullivan, Michael Reed and Robert Crompton; brother, Robert (Pat) Sullivan of Bellevue; sister in-law, Marilyn Sullivan of Berlin Heights; and several nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Sr. and Georgette (Faulkner) Sullivan; and brother, Alfred Sullivan Jr.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday in Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
