Stephenie Anna (Vladiff) Clipson, 68, of Vermilion and formerly of Sandusky , died Thursday, June 5, 2014, in Mill Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness with non Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Stephenie was born April 29, 1946, in Sandusky, daughter of the late Steven and Doris (Siehl) Vladiff. Stephenie was employed by Lake Erie Lanes in Vermilion for 33 years. She was a member of the Tuesday Morning Early Birds bowling league, and served as league secretary for 38 years.
In 2009, Stephenie was inducted into the Hall of Fame by the Lorain Women's Bowling Association for meritorious service. In addition to her love of bowling, she was also a life member of AMVETS Auxiliary, Post 22, Vermilion.
Stephenie is survived by his husband of 48 years, Michael Clipson, of Vermilion; daughters, Shelly (Brian) Shock, of Powhaton, Va., and Sara (Douglas) Brumbaugh of Elizabeth City, N.C.; grandson, Brian Sykes, of Raleigh, N.C.; granddaughter, Rebecca Shock, of Powhaton, and Elizabeth Shock of Powhaton; sister, Nancy (Mike) Pisarsky, of Vickery; five brothers, Michael (Pamela) Vladiff of Summerfield, Fla., Daniel (Mary Jo) Vladiff, David (Karen) Vladiff and George (Carolyn) Abele Jr., all of Sandusky, and Steven Vladiff, of Castalia; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sisters, Stephanie and Joyce; nephew, David; niece, Jessica; and great-nephew, Deyton.
A gathering of family and friends will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South St., Vermilion, OH 44089.
