Ardith K. (Eggleston) Roberts, 95, residing in Sandusky, passed away Wednesday, late morning, April 30, 2014, in The Meadows at Osborn Park after a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 17, 1918, in Norwalk, to Rupert and Elsie (Moll) Eggleston.
Ardith was a graduate from Sandusky High School. She was a homemaker, but also assisted her husband in the family business, Roberts Typewriter Service, for many years. Ardith was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church and the former Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Ardith is survived by her daughter, Linda K. (Eugene) Hahl of Sandusky; granddaughter, Kristin (Michael) McLaughlin; great-grandchildren, Eric and Erin McLaughlin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ardith was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Roberts, in 1997; and brother, J.R. Eggleston.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. Friday, May 2, until funeral services at 11 a.m., at Meadow Green Memorial Park, 2602 Bogart Road, Huron, with the Rev. Dr. Robert Bottoms, First Presbyterian Church, presiding. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
