James L. Roe Sr., 32, of Sandusky, died unexpectedly Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010.
He was born April 19, 1977, in Sandusky, to Diane R. (Wadsworth) and Larry E. Roe. James was a 1995 graduate of Perkins High School. He was employed by UPS for the past 10 years.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing cards and pool. James especially loved spending time with his family and being a “kid” himself.
He is survived by his wife, Susie (Chavarria) Roe; his daughters, Taylor Hodgkinson of Sandusky and Dayzia Brionez of Norwalk; his son, James Roe Jr. of Sandusky; his father, Larry (Linda) Roe of Castalia; and his sisters, Michelle and Stephanie Roe of Sandusky.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane R. (Wadsworth) Roe in 1998.
Friends may call 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, where prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Friday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Jason Kahle will officiate. Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to his children’s college fund.
