Mabel J. (Amolsch) Nedham, 66, residing in Sandusky, passed away late Monday, April 14, 2014, in Firelands Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Mabel was born April 8, 1948, in Sandusky, to Harry E. Sr. and Mabel E. (Wiley) Amolsch.
Mabel was employed as a school custodian at Hancock Elementary for 25 years before retiring in 1989. In her spare time, she enjoyed writing, cooking, baking, crocheting and doing puzzles. She was a creative person who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a very caring and loving person.
Mabel is survived by her husband, John Nedham Sr., whom she married April 12, 1979. She is also survived by her daughters, JoAnna Clinton, Mabel D. Nedham, Rashina Brown, Angel J. Price; sons, Michael Amolsch and John J. Nedham Jr.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Amolsch and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Mabel was preceded in death by her siblings, Lois J. Amolsch, Rose A. (Amolsch) Lebron and brother, Harry E. Amolsch Jr.
Friends may call 5-7 p.m., Friday, April 18, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. At the family's request, cremation will take place following visitation.
