Elizabeth M. "Bettye" Weske, of Marblehead, age 68, passed peacefully on March 25, 2014, after a brief, yet courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Aug. 23, 1945, in Jackson, Tenn., to Beulah and Robert McNatt and raised in Brownsville, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, John T. Weske.
She is survived by daughters, Ashley Bevill of Frederick, Md., Jennifer (Robert) Monroe of Melissa, Texas; son, John (Regina) Weske of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Ivan Bevill, Connor and Collin Monroe, and Lauren, Brooke, Kate, Anna, and Julia Weske; sister-in-law, Jan Bucholz of Sandusky; as well as numerous friends.
She especially enjoyed spending time with family, antiquing, and projects of any kind, and will be best remembered as a generous and loving wife, mother, and friend.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at Stein Hospice, Sandusky. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
