Sherman R. “Bob” Fox III, of Lorain, passed away late Friday evening, April 11, 2014, following a lengthy illness.
He was born April 24, 1960, in Sandusky, to Sherman R. and Judith (Leslie) Fox Jr.
Bob was a 1979 graduate of Sandusky High School, where he also attended trade school. He was employed at Ventra in Sandusky as a tool and die maker since June 18, 2012, and was formerly employed for over 20 years at International Automotive Components, in Huron, also as a tool and die maker.
He was a member of the American Legion from 1995-2003, UAW Local 913 in Sandusky for over 20 years, and UAW Local 1216 for two years. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, going to Florida to see his grandchildren, watching movies and riding his Harley with family and friends.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Lisa (Martinez) Fox, whom he married May 31, 2006; son, Shane (Kristie) Fox of Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren, Ethan, Brody, Reese, and Skye; four siblings, Elizabeth Fox, Shelley (Dean) Skinner, Wayne (Amy) Fox, and Ted Fox; several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Including his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Dustin Jay Fox, in 1995.
Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave. Sandusky. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 17, at the funeral home with Pastor Samuel Samson Studer presiding. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park in Huron.
