James "Cheese" Beidelschies

Apr 6, 1966 - Apr 4, 2014

James "Cheese" Beidelschies, of Largo, Fla., passed away Friday, April 4, 2014, at Suncoast Hospice after a courageous 10-month battle with cancer. Jim was a fighter all the way, never felt sorry for himself, never asked why me?

Jim was born April 6, 1966, in Tiffin Mercy Hospital. Jim attended Huron City Schools and was a graduate of Mohawk High School in Sycamore, Ohio.

He loved people and never met a person that wasn't a friend, which kept him in the restaurant business for his career. While living in the Sandusky area, Jim worked at Ruby Tuesdays, Showboat and the Brown Derby.

In 1988, deciding they had enough of winter, Jim and a group of friends moved to Florida, including his best friend from 7th grade, Stevie Lykins of Huron. Stevie and "Cheese" as Jim was known, remained best friends/family as Stevie was by his side until the end.

Jim loved life and love Florida. Jim's passion was fishing. The perfect day to Jim was fishing in the Gulf of Mexico with his son Jaret. Jim was a certified scuba diver and also received his certification as a certified boat mechanic. He was an organizer of Fishing for Friends, an annual New Year's Day tournament.

Friends come and go, but Jim's friends came and stayed as evident by those that came to celebrate Jim's life.

Always remembering and never forgetting Jim's life are his wife, Kim, whom he married March 23, 1996; and the focus of his life, his son, Jaret.

Forever celebrating his life are his mother, Judy (Steve) Terry; brother, Dan (Meghan) Beidelschies; and nephew, Austin, all of Huron; his father, David (Jeanette) Beidelshies of Tiffin; brother, Tom (Barb) Beidelshies of Sycamore; and aunt and uncle Linda and Denny Hoerig of Tiffin.

Jim was preceded in passing by his grandparents, Dick and Mary Rader, Carl and Dorothy Beidelshies; and his aunt Becky Andres of Sandusky.

As was his request, cremation has taken place and celebrations of his life were held in Florida and Ohio.

Those wishing to remember Jim may do so to Suncoast Hospice Care Center, 6770 102nd Ave. North, Pinellas Park, FL 33782.
