Robert J. Trimble, 81, of Bay View, died Sunday Morning, April 6, 2014, at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born March 18, 1933, in Lick Branch, Ky., and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Robert worked for Barr Rubber, Sandusky; Standard Products, Port Clinton; and retired from Kelsey Hayes, Fremont, as a supervisor. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia M. (Jones) Trimble; daughters, Penney (Scott) Blanton, of Sandusky, Tracey (Tracy) Nickles, of Sandusky, and Charlotte Bursley, of Norwalk; sons, Rick Trimble, of Fostoria, Ohio, Mark (Debby) Trimble, of Strongsville, Ohio, and Robert (Denise) Trimble, of Sandusky; grandchildren, Rhiannon (Mike) Milde, Ashley Beddow, Adam ( Shelia) Trimble, Tiffany (Joe) Flack, Matt (Lisa) Turner, Patrick Persinger, Megan Persinger, Charlie Nickles and Bailey Bursley; one sister, Genny (Paul) Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Granville and Katie (Conley) Trimble; sisters, Lyria Wright and Opal Coppler; and brothers, Carl, James, Boyd and Guy Trimble.
Visitation and services were Tuesday, April 8, at Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, The Rev. Don Goodwin was officiant.
