Linda (Craig) Dickman, 66, of Fremont, passed away quietly on March 14, 2014, at her residence, surrounded by her family, following a long fight with breast cancer.
Born Oct. 5, 1947, in Fremont to Roy and Louise (Young) Craig, Linda was a graduate of Green Springs High School and later earned her LPN degree from Providence School of Nursing. She worked for many years in a local physician’s office and area nursing facilities caring for others.
Linda loved reading, gardening, and gaming with her husband and friends. She most especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a true and loyal fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and Detroit Tigers.
Linda is survived by her husband of 43 years, Thomas R. Dickman; her mother, Louise; children Randy (Emily) Dickman, of Elmore, Ohio, Laura (Brett) Novak, of Lyndhurst, Ohio, and Eric Dickman, of Fremont; her beloved grandchildren, Madeline, Brandon, Ellison and Grayson; siblings, Marcia (Jon) Abbott, Fred (Christine) Craig and Lou Anne Craig; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Roy, and brothers, Geoffrey "Michael" Craig and John “Tuna” Craig.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde. A service to celebrate Linda’s life will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Clyde. A private graveside service will take place at a later date.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of The Bellevue Hospital and Hospice of Memorial Hospital for the excellent care that was provided to Linda in her last days and the sincere caring that they extended to the family. In lieu of flowers, tributes may be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital in Fremont or the Susan J. Komen Foundation.
