Scott Franklin Harkleroad, 44, of Norwalk passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014, in his residence.
He was born July 19, 1969, in Sandusky, the son of Cecil Harkleroad and Gloria Fay (Rice) Lawson. He married and is survived by his wife, Lori B. Muehling, on Oct. 4, 1997, in Norwalk.
Scott enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, playing dartball and pool. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Gloria Fay (Rice) Lawson of Bellevue; step son, Scott Cross of Bellevue; step daughter, April Cross of Columbus; fiancée, Tammy Michel of Norwalk; brothers, Cecil Ronald (Pam) Harkleroad of Kingsport, Tenn., Jessie (Renae) Harkleroad of Bristol, Va.; and sister, Susan Wilbanks of Kingsport, Tenn.
He is preceded in death by his father; brothers, Michael and Timothy Harkleroad; paternal grandparents, William “Bill” and Goldie Harkleroad; maternal grandparents, Virgil and Hester Rice; and step father, Jeffery G. Lawson.
Friends will be received 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 14, at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. Funeral services, officiated by Rev. James H. Gregory, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at the funeral home.
