Kenneth Jensen, 77, of Port Clinton, passed away, Friday, March 7, 2014, in Mercy St. Vincent’s Hospital, Toledo, surrounded by his loving family.
Kenneth was born Sept. 11, 1936, in Port Clinton, son of Arne H. and Karla (Nielsen) Jensen. On Aug. 17, 1978, in Lakeside, he married Patricia Herold and she survives. Ken was an accomplished carver and carpenter, working through out Ottawa County. He also worked at Providence Hospital, O.D. Payne Contractor and Delphi Automotive, retiring in 2005 after 30 years of service.
Ken was an avid fisherman, trapper and outdoorsman. He was a practical jokester and loved to have a good time. Ken will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Patricia Jensen; children, Michael Jensen, Lisa (Patrick) McCloskey, Kenneth M. Jensen, Brian (Monica) Jensen, Jeff Jensen, Jeff Byington and Nicole (Gabe) DeFreitas; 13 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother, Richard (Janet) Jensen; and several nieces and nephews.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol Franck.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, followed by a Memorial service at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton.
Memorial donations in memory of Kenneth may be given to the St. Thomas Episcopal Church Nooner’s Group.
