NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio
Elizabeth E. (Streng) Green, 97, of North Ridgeville, Ohio, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, in Northridge Health Center after lengthy illness.
She was born Jan. 2, 1913, in Perkins Twp., and has been a Vermilion resident for 57 years, before moving to North Ridgeville. Elizabeth worked at Aufenkamp on North Ridge Road for 25 years.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Vermilion. She enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, bingo and pinochle.
She survived by her son, Rolland (Carol) Green Jr. of Elyria; daughter, Margaret (Raymond) Olah of Lorain; four grandchildren, Shirley, Karen, Michael and Brian; five great-grandchildren, Kelly, Christopher, Abigail, William and Alex; and two sisters, Dorothy Good and Caroline Cotten of Sandusky.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Rolland H. Green in 2008; parents, Fred and Emma (Schwanger) Streng; brothers, Walter, Carl, Paul, Norman and Alfred Streng
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South St., Vermilion. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Meadow Green Memorial Park, 2602 Bogart Road, Huron, with The Rev. Terry Parker, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating.
