Robert G. Pfeiffer, 81, of Norwalk, passed away early Saturday morning, Feb. 8, 2014, in Briarfield of Milan Nursing Center.
He was born Jan. 31, 1933, in Willard, to Edward J. and Veneva (Bork) Pfeiffer and was a lifelong area resident.
Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in Korea and retired from Ford Motor Company, Sandusky. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Lodge 64 F. & A.M., Norwalk, and was a former member of Queen Esther Chapter 15 Order of Eastern Stars. Bob enjoyed woodworking, ceramics, and his pet birds.
Bob is survived by his wife, Cleo M. (Heston) Pfeiffer of Norwalk; children, Robert A. and Dawn Pfeiffer of Norwalk, Chuck and Pam Pfeiffer of Sandusky, Willie and Jane Pfeiffer of Norwalk, and Carol and David Moore of Norwalk; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and his step son, Benny and Sarah Baker of Louisville, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bessie M. Pfeiffer in 1997; brother, Herbert A. Pfeiffer; sister, Bonita Kay; and his grandson, Michael Pfeiffer.
Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
