Bonnie R. Barbero, 71, of Wooster, Ohio, and formerly of Greenville, Pa., died Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, in Smithville-Western Nursing home.
She was born Aug. 10, 1942, in Youngstown, Ohio, daughter of the late Eugene and Millicent Thorpe Arnold. She last worked for Erie County Detention Center as a day shift supervisor for 14 years. She graduated from Liberty High School in 1960 and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Greenville.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela (James) Lilley, of Wooster; sisters, Peggy De Angelo, of Clarks Mills, Pa., and Roxie Duerden, of Bremo Bluff, Va.; and granddaughter, Jaeden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Barbero, whom she married March 11, 1970 and who died Oct. 8, 1995; son, Douglas A. Barbero; sister, Vicki Blanton; and brother, Eugene Arnold.
Private services will take place at Blackstone Funeral Home and interment will be at Churchill Cemetery.
