Donna M. (Newman) Pincura, 75, of Huron, passed away peacefully, Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, with her husband by her side at Oak Hills Nursing & Rehab Center, Lorain.
She was born Aug. 2, 1938, in Lorain, and was a resident of Huron for the past 14 years coming from Avon Lake.
She graduated from Lorain High School in 1956 and attended Kent State University.
She worked as a wedding planner for her own business called Timeless Traditions Wedding Consulting in the 1980’s.
She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Huron, an active member of the Avon Lake Jr. Women’s League, and a longtime member of the Church of the Redeemer, Lorain.
She is survived by her husband, John “Jack” Pincura, married for 53 years; a daughter, Beth (Ray) Shemanski of Mequon, Wis.; a son, John (Debbie) Pincura of Rochester Hills, Mich.; six grandchildren, John, Jesse, Jacob and Kate Pincura, and Jack and Jalie Shemanski; and a sister, Sharen Armstrong of Norwalk.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Marie (Mellon) Newman.
Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron. Funeral services will be noon Friday, Jan. 17, at Christ Episcopal Church, 120 Ohio St., Huron, with Rev. Wanda Ray officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Cemetery, Amherst.
