Rhonda Sue (Hammons) Gwinner, 55, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, in her home.
She was born Oct. 17, 1958, in Sandusky, daughter of the late Jerry and Phyllis (Larrick) Hammons. She attended Margaretta High School and loved her job working with developmental disabilities.
Rhonda was a member of Sandusky Church of God. She loved to collect roosters, loved her cats, and enjoyed cooking, entertaining, and gardening. She loved Jesus with all of her heart, and she was known for helping those less fortunate than she.
Rhonda is survived by her husband of 34 years, Jerry A. Gwinner; children, Rance (Mary) Hammons and Heidi Gwinner, both of Sandusky; siblings, Russell Hammons, of Kentucky, Rena Hammons, of Sandusky, Randy Hammons, of Kentucky, Reva Myers, of Sandusky, Toni Lynch, of southern Ohio, and Preston Lynch, of Sandusky; granddaughter, Autumn Lewis; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Anna M. Jones, of Sandusky; and brothers-in-law, John Gwinner, of Sandusky, and Larry (Sharon) Gwinner, of Bay View.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, until funeral services at noon at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
