Anthony J. Laviola, age 87, of Bellevue, passed away Dec. 30, 2013, in Bellevue Hospital.
He was born May 29, 1926, in Bellevue, the son of Domenic and Catherine (Franchina) Laviola.
He married Marian (Serraino) Laviola on Sept. 1, 1951, she survives him in Bellevue.
Anthony served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific on LST 893. He was employed at Mosser Construction.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, American Legion Post 46, Masons Union 46, Fremont, the former Club-Amer-Ital, and graduated from Bellevue High School in 1944.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Jean L. Nead of Edina, Minn.; sons, John Laviola of Bellevue, David (Luann) Laviola of New Albany, Ohio; and grandchildren, Erin Laviola, Cara Laviola, and Colin Laviola.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, George, Frank, James, Joseph, and Nick; and a sister,Rose Faragi.
A funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center St., Bellevue, officiated by Fr. Jonathan Wight. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
