Robert Lyal McGuire, 79, of Bellevue, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, in The Meadows at Osborn Park.
He was born June 29, 1934, in Bowling Green, Ohio, to Lyal C. and Dorthea (Housholder) McGuire.
Bob graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1952. His lifelong occupation was a tool and die engineer, first for White Motor Company in Toledo, then Ford Motor Company in Sandusky, then on to owning his own business, Trebor, Inc. in Bellevue.
Robert was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Bellevue, Third Degree Knights of Columbus Council 546, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Assembly 813, Bishop Machebeuf, former Navigator 1992, former member of Club Amer-Ital in Bellevue, IAB of Sandusky, and the Fraternal Order of Bellevue Eagles.
On October 29, 1988, Robert married Carma (DeLiberto) Raschke McGuire and she survives in Bellevue. Also surviving are his daughters, Maureen (Mark) Crockett of Sandusky and Kathleen (Joel) Morris of Sherrill's Ford, N.C.; grandchildren, Kyle, Shaun, Kassandra, and Alex; great-grandchildren, Madison, Noah, Grace, Ryleigh, Ethan, Soleil, and Olivia; and his sister, Carolyn Sue Tripp of Marion, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his grandson, Chad Robert Crockett; and his step mother, Hilda McGuire.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue. Rosary will be recited at 6:45 p.m. and Knights of Columbus services will follow at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at Immaculate Conception Church, Bellevue, with Rev. Jonathan Wight officiating.
