Frank C. Baird, 88, was born on Oct. 17, 1925, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII and owned and was executive vice president of Glendale Steel Co. in Glendale, N.Y. He lived in Sheffield Village, Ohio, for four years coming from Sandusky and the Villages.
He enjoyed golf, gardening, reading and boating.
He is survived by his wife, Julie (Paris) Tucillo-Baird; children, Barbara (David) Curtin, Genny Gemmell and Frank C. (Nancy) Baird Jr.; stepchildren, Christine (Richard) Aufdenkampe and Thomas (Patti) Tuccillo; and sister Nancy (Bill-dec'd) Matthews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, George (Ruth) Baird, Robert (Benny) Baird, and sisters Olive (Erwin) Geiger and Evelyn (Noel) Conrade.
He was entered into rest Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until a parlor service at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Road, Avon, Ohio. A Memorial Wake Interment will be private.
