Michael J. Pruitt, 47, Clyde, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, in Stein Hospice Care Center.
He was born Sept. 23, 1966, in Williamson, W.Va., and graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1985. He was employed by Autoplas in Bellevue.
Michael loved to fish and camp, and be around nature. He was a handy man, able to fix just about anything. Spending time with family and friends was important to him.
He is survived by his wife, Lina (Doss) Pruitt of Clyde; children, Glenna Marie and Billy, both of Clyde; brothers and sisters, Bonnie (Charles) Walker of Fremont, Dorothy (Elmer) Stump of Columbus, Ohio, Donald (Shannon) Pruitt, Eugene Pruitt, Debi (Teddy) Coleman, and Clayton Pruitt, all of Kentucky, and Ricky Pruitt of Virginia; mother-in-law, Abbie Doss; brothers-in-law, Ken (Shirley) Doss, Tim (Kara) Doss, James Doss, and Daniel (Dawn) Doss; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathilene Ratliff; father, Ervin Pruitt; and step father, William Ratliff.
A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Dr. David Clarke, Chaplain of Stein Hospice, will officiate.
