Victoria Frausto, 81, of Milan, passed away peacefully at home Saturday morning, Nov. 23, 2013, following a lengthy illness, surrounded by her family.
She was born Nov. 14, 1932, in Pearsall, Texas, daughter of the late Manuel and Guadalupe (Gomez) Veliz.
Victoria was a homemaker raising and taking care of her family and home. She enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, puzzles and enjoyed her many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and also the company of her beloved cat KiKi. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church.
Victoria is survived by two daughters, Irene Lance, of Fremont, and Lupe (Brett) Gribben, of Milan; three sons, Juan Frausto, Robert (Dianna) Frausto, and David (Vivian) Frausto, all of Sandusky; one brother, Pedro G. Veliz, of Sandusky; two sisters, Dominga Alvarado, of Tiffin, Ohio, and Genoveva Rodriguez, of Clyde; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four half brothers, Ken Veliz, and Jesse Veliz, of Berlin Heights, and Frank Veliz and Manuel Veliz, of Farmington, Mich.; two half sisters, Patricia Arroyo, of Berlin Heights, and Barbara Veliz, of Norwalk; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Victoria was preceded in death by her husband, Elias R. Frausto; infant son, Elias R. Frausto Jr.; great-grandson, Xavier Louiselle; her parents; one brother, Raul Veliz; and one half sister, Virginia Veliz.
Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Groff Funeral Home and Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Private family graveside services will take place at a later date.
