Donald A. Dunham, 76, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, after a brief illness.
He was born in Wooster, Ohio, and later resided in Sandusky. Don served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Essex. He was a retiree of Ford Motor Company in Sandusky. After his retirement he spent his winter months in Fort Myers Beach, Fla.
He was an avid boater and loved fishing and sports. He was a member of the American Legion and vice president of Cove Park Blvd. Boating Assn.
Don is survived by Bonnie, his loving wife of 54 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carrie and Adam Dunham; two sisters, Jane Rhoad and Frances Dunham. He is also survived by three sisters and one brother, Patricia Fritz, Suzanne Boldman, Marilou Pankow and David Dunham, and various nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to First Christian Church, (in memory of Don Dunham), 3410 Hayes Ave., Sandusky, OH 44870.
Don was a kind and gentle man and an inspiration to all of us.
