Paul C. Jensen, 58, of Sandusky, passed away Monday morning, Nov. 11, 2013, in Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
He was born Dec. 21, 1954, in Bremerton, Wash. He graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1973, and received an Associates Degree in Wildlife Management from Hocking Hills Technical College in Nelsonville, Ohio. Paul worked at AIM Packaging in Port Clinton, was a self-employed wood worker and contractor, worked for many local auctioneers, and was an antique dealer – known by many as “the hall seat guy.”
Paul was a member of the Lutheran faith. He was a grandpa to the entire neighborhood. He loved to cook, remodel homes, and shoot pool. He played in the Cue Club.
Paul is survived by his wife, Carol (Weirich) Jensen, whom he married Nov. 30, 1974; son, Eric Jensen, of Norwalk; daughter, Nicole Jensen, of Sandusky; parents, Ron and “Bea” (Bennett) Jensen; daughter-in-law, Amy Jensen, of Milan; grandson, Elrik (Felecia) Jensen, of Huron; two granddaughters, Tessa Jensen, of Milan, and December Lawrence, of Sandusky; and two brothers, Craig Jensen, of Columbus, and Steve Jensen, of Port Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Jensen, in 1978.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16. The Rev. Kent Joy will officiate.
