Christopher G. Deerhake, 22, of Lakeside-Marblehead, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton.
He was born May 1, 1991, in Sandusky, the son of Gregory and Susan (Sypherd) Deerhake. He was a 2009 graduate of Danbury High School and he worked for South Shore Marine, Huron. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything to do with the water. He had a U.S. Coast Guard License.
Surviving are his parents, Greg and Sue Deerhake; sisters, Kelly (Chris Leko) Deerhake of Clearwater, Fla., Kimberly (Mike) Zwier of St. Albans, W.Va., Karen (Cody Vollmer) Deerhake of Marblehead; grandparents, Floyd and Jackie Sypherd of Lakeside, Gene and Mary Deerhake of Marblehead; and his faithful companion, his dog Rex.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at Lakeside United Methodist Church, Lakeside.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society of Ottawa County, or Danbury Township Fire and EMS.
