David Allen Chamberlain, 73, residing in Sandusky, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, in The Portland House, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
David was born Aug. 20, 1940, in Sandusky, to William and Ethel (Obergefell) Chamberlain. He attended Sandusky High School.
David worked general construction for various companies over the years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sandusky. In his spare time, he enjoyed driving in his pickup truck, visiting family and friends. He also liked watching the boats along the waterfront, buildings being demolished, and going to the Better Half for lots of meals, they always called him "number one."
David is survived by a daughter, Jody (Walter) Grabowski of New York; granddaughter, Kelsey Grabowski of New York; sisters, Rita Manner of Sandusky, Joyce Tight of Lorain, and Marilyn Millis of Huron; brother, Ralph Chamberlain of Sandusky; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by brothers, Robert, Joseph, Paul, and Charles Chamberlain; sisters, Ruth Leidorf, Alice Brady, Lois Ulmer; and grandson, Walter Jr. Grabowski.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, until a Christian mass at 10 am., at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
