Coun Eliso George, 76, of Sandusky, died in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013.
He was born April 5, 1937, in Coeburn, W.Va., to Fred and Bertha (Mullins) George. He moved the Sandusky in 1957, where he worked as a supervisor at Sandusky Metal Products. Coun then retired from Chesapeake Packaging in 1997. On April 19, 1956, he married Rochelle Merna, and she preceded him in death Oct. 3, 2007.
Coun was a devoted father and grandfather and follower of the Lord. He enjoyed playing with the grandchildren, gardening, walking, and cooking. He was loved by all whom came in contact with him and will be greatly missed. He was an active member of the Wayside Temple, Castalia.
Survivors include a son, David (Nicole) George of Vickery; six grandchildren, Briahna George, Joshua Martin, Jason Tracy, Sage George, Devon Lampman, and Justin Kerns; one great-grandchild, Miranda Martin; close special friend, Glenny Hatfield; son-in-law, Bill Kerns of Dayton, Ohio; and sisters, Marge (Bob) Koegle, Betty (Mike) Church, of Sandusky, and Ann (Clifford) Johnson of Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; daughter, Wanda Kerns; son, JD George; brother, Billy George; and sister, Marie Ramey.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, until funeral services at noon, at Wayside Temple, Castalia. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
