Jean Frances Dorr Halm, of Brunswick, Ohio, and formerly of Sandusky, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013.
She was born March 3, 1926, in Sandusky, to Adelwin Victor Dorr and Georgiana Edith Nusbaum Dorr. She graduated from St. Mary Central Catholic High School.
She was a mother and homemaker. She worked for National City Bank (now PNC Bank), for 10 years as a bank teller and manager of the drive-thru branch. She previously worked at Penney’s as a buyer and department manager, prior to that she did office work at the Aluminum Magnesium Co., all in Sandusky.
Jean was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and later Grace Episcopal Church, Sandusky, and most recently Strongsville United Methodist Church, of Strongsville, Ohio.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Thomas James Halm of Brunswick; two sons, Jeffrey Allan (Suzanne) Halm of Massillon, Ohio, and Scott Douglas (Karen) Halm of Broadview Heights, Ohio; five grandchildren, Bradley (Erika) Halm of Seattle, Wash., Emily (Ben) Jenkins of Arlington, Va., Brandon (Brandt) Halm of Harrisburg, Pa., Erik (Tracy) Halm of Strongsville, Ohio, and Austin Halm of Columbus, Ohio; and one great-grandchild, Thomas Whitman Jenkins.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, until a Memorial Service at 11 a.m., at Strongsville United Methodist Church, 13500 Royalton Road, Strongsville.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
