Versia M. White, 54, of 3200 Glendale Ave., Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, in Saint Anne's Hospital, Toledo.
She was born Oct. 27, 1958, in Sandusky, and was a graduate of Sandusky High School. She worked for Libby Glass Co. for 25 years.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister. She loved to cook, gardening and arts and crafts.
She is survived by one daughter, Tremonisha White, of Charlotte, N.C.; one son, Bryson U. White, of Toledo; two grandchildren, KeeLorean K. White and Synasia F. White; six sisters, Sharon A. (Fred) Collins, of Indianapolis, Ind., Zelma (Raymond) White, Tamiko L. (Daryl) Castile and Darlene White, all of Sandusky, Bernita White, of Cleveland, Ohio, and Sandra White, of Benton Harbor, Mich; three brothers, Nathaniel White, of Toledo, Jerry White of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Roger White, of Lorain, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Delores Hunt and Frank White Jr., and two brothers, Andre White and Steve White.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Tate Funeral Service, 3302 Lagrange St., Toledo. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
