Anna Jean (Schlottag) Gysan, 89, of Sandusky, passed away early Tuesday morning, Oct. 22, 2013, in The Meadows at Osborn Park, Huron, after a brief illness.
She was born Sept. 17, 1924, in Sandusky, the daughter of Norman and Alice Lizzetta (Held) Schlottag. She was a 1942 graduate of Sandusky High School.
Anna Jean worked at Union Chain as a secretary for nearly 30 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Altar Guild and the Women of Friends.
Anna Jean is survived by her family, Timothy (Karen) Schlottag, Martha Zerger, Mark (Susan) Schlottag all of Sandusky, and Jonathan (Gina) Schlottag of Bay View; seven grandchildren, Scott, Brett, Mathew, Jennifer, Brian, Jake and Jordan; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank W. Schlottag; her second husband, Richard C. Gysan; and a grandson, Eric Collins.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at David F. Koch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the funeral home. Rev. Kathleen Shuck officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
