Arlene E. Ott, 98, of Monroeville, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, in Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 13, 1915, in Bronson Township, Ohio, to the late Clarence P. and Maude (Fisher) Geiger, and was a lifelong area resident.
Arlene was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed cross stitching, sewing, cooking, and playing cards. Arlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Mary Beth Ott of Fremont, Ohio, Linus W. “Butch” and Donna Ott of Monroeville, and Thomas C. and Ida Ott of Monroeville; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Alfred Thomas of Cleveland, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Linus F. Ott in 1988; brothers, William “Bill” Geiger, and Arthur “Art” Geiger; and sister, Bette Fell.
Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 1322 Settlement Road, Norwalk. Rev. Nathan Bockrath, Associate Pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church, will officiate. Interment will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
