Virginia Rose Hardy, 83, of Huron, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, in Stein Hospice, Sandusky.
Virginia was born in Lakewood, Ohio, Jan. 17, 1930. She had been a long time resident of Huron. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Huron, and a member of the Huron Garden Club.
She is survived by three sons, John E. (Leslie) Hardy of Stony Brook, N.Y., Wayne D. (Mary) Hardy of Williston, Fla., and David A. (Susan) of Huron; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn Delisse of North Olmsted, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her her husband of 47 years, Donald Hector; and her parents, Steven and Julia (Toth) Voynar.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at Christ Episcopal Church, 120 Ohio St., Huron, with Rev. Eugene Smercina officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Christ Church Columbarium.
