Emma J. Ruppert, age 85, of Bellevue, passed away Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, in The Willows at Bellevue.
She was born May 18, 1928, in Fremont, the daughter of William and Caroline (Jenck) Vought.
Emma attended and was the Salutatorian of the Class of 1946 at Fremont St. Joseph High School. Emma worked for Fremont Savings Bank and was a homemaker. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
Survivors include her son, David R. Ruppert of Livonia, Mich.; daughter, Martha A. Boska of Cleveland, and three grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Ruppert Jr., whom she married Oct. 15, 1955, in Fremont; a sister; and two infant brothers.
Friends will be received 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where the Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center St., Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
