Lucinda Lynn, 61, residing in Sandusky, passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, in Firelands Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
Cindy was born March 21, 1952, in Sandusky, daughter of the late Harvey and Beatrice (Mundy) Schenk. She was a 1970 graduate of Perkins High School and a graduate of Lorain Community College. She was employed as a LPN at Good Samaritan Hospital for several years, and also worked at Lutheran Memorial Home, Erie County Care Facility, and Huron Health Care, retiring in 1992. Cindy enjoyed her work as a nurse; she was a very loving and caring individual.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, cooking, writing recipes, embroidery, sewing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandson.
Cindy is survived by her husband, of 39 years, Charles Lynn; her son, Johnathan (Kathryn Kovach) Lynn, of Vermilion; grandson, Zachary Kovach; sister, Bonnie (Vernon) Wightman; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Including her parents, Lucinda is preceded in death by her brother, Dean Schenk.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, until funeral services at noon at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave, Sandusky. The Rev. John B. Mawhirter will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
