Levi Grayson, 87, a resident of Ohio Veterans Home and formerly of Toledo, died Monday evening, Sept. 30, 2013, at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born Jan. 13, 1926, in McDowell, Ala., and was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II.
He is survived by his companion, Beverly Smith, of Sandusky; six children and their families; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; one brother; and one grandson.
Friends may call from noon Tuesday, Oct. 8, until a funeral service at 1 p.m. in Giffin Chapel of Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Military services will follow at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Robert Lyles and Chaplain Paul Birmingham will officiate. Burial will be in the Ohio Veterans Home Cemetery.
