Dorothy M. (Nowicki) Wilczynski , 86, of Lorain, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at Stein Hospice, Sandusky, after a short illness.
Dorothy was born Aug. 23, 1927, in Lorain, and had been a lifelong area resident.
Dorothy was a member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. She had been employed as a cashier at Meyer-Goldberg.
She is survived by sons, Dale (Keri) Wilczynski of Elyria, and David (Judi) Wilczynski of Huron; daughter, Diane (Larry) Henthorn of Hillsboro, Ohio; grandsons, Ben Wilczynski, and Tony Wilczynski; step grandsons, Danny and Tyler Orzech; and sister Anita (Robert) Bodak of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Wilczynski in 2002; grandson, Timothy Henthorn; and parents, Frank and Mary (Chula) Nowicki.
The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 418 W. 15th St., Lorain. The Reverend Robert Glepko will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
