Thomasina H. Day, 82, of Castalia, died Sunday evening, Sept. 29, 2013, in the Lutheran Memorial Home, Sandusky, following a brief Illness.
She was born Jan. 15, 1931, in Fall River, Mass., and graduated high school from St. Catherine Academy.
She was employed by Foster Grant for over 10 years and later worked for Reb Plastics, Avon Lake, for over 20 years before retiring. Thomasina was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sandusky, and was very active in the church and was on the bereavement team for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Buddy Day, whom she married July 22, 1957; daughter, Mary Day of Sandusky; son, John (Sandra) Day of Genoa, Ohio; two grandchildren, Tina (Stephen) Green of Mississippi, and Tammy (Jon) Schwarz of Michigan; four great grandchildren, Madison and Riley Schwarz, and Abigayle and Brayden Green; sister, Penny Rinfret of Rhode Island; brother, Robert Hoffman of Florida; God daughter, Cindy Studer; and several nieces and nephews.
Thomasina was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Alice (Sousa) Hoffman; and sister, Roberta Chretian.
Friends may call 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, until time of services at 10 a.m., at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Hayes Ave., Sandusky. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
