Bonnie M. (Sergent) Dieckman, 75, of Berlin Heights, passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, in Admiral’s Pointe Rehab, Huron, on the same date that her late husband died five years ago.
She was born Dec. 7, 1937, in Wise County, Va. She was a longtime resident of the Elyria, Huron, and Berlin Heights area.
She was a former active member of Faith Memorial Church, Sandusky, during her younger years.
She enjoyed dancing when she was young and traveling with her husband.
She is survived by a daughter, Deb (Bill) Porter, of Berlin Heights; two sons, Claude Dieckman, of Columbus, and Dan (Ginny) Brickey, of Elyria; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Eileen Hamm, of Tacoma, Va.; and a brother, Charles (Carolyn) Sergent.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald N. Dieckman, 2008; two sons, Donnie and Kelly Dieckman; a brother, Howard Sergent; and parents, James and Mozelle (Salyers) Sergent.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m.Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron, where services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2. Pastor John King will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
