Patricia Lorraine Holz, 85, of Conneaut, Ohio, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loved ones in her home, Sept. 24, 2013.
Pat was born in Sandusky and graduated from Sandusky High School in 1946. She married Henry E. Holz in 1949 and they enjoyed 64 years of “dancing” together.
Early in Pat’s life she worked for the Telephone Company in Sandusky, then Kroger’s in Norwalk, where she was a union representative. She was involved in the community while her children were young, and enjoyed her time with the Sisterhood of Oheb Shalom Temple for many years, dressed to the nines in one of her many red hats.
In her retirement years, Patty spent much of her time traveling between Ohio and Florida. Along with being an avid reader, she enjoyed being outside whether in the garden, or on the sea shore collecting seashells with her husband. She was a wise one, sharing her special insight with family and friends along the way. “We had a fun time at your party”, thanks for the memories!
She is survived by her husband, Henry; her two children, Henry Valentine of Conneaut, and Patrice Suzzanne of Edinburg, Va.; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Association for Research and Enlightenment, in care of Susan Luscomb, 215 67th St., Virginia Beach, VA 23451, or call 757-457-7125 to donate.
The Marcy Funeral Home, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, has charge of arrangements. Please sign the guestbook at marcyfuneralhome.com.
