Ann M. Johnston, 50, of Norwalk, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, in her home.
She was born Sept. 4, 1963, in Norwalk, to Wilbur O. “Bill” and Virginia M. (Meyers) Missler and was a lifelong area resident.
Ann was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and was a 1983 graduate of Norwalk High School. She was a former employee of Norwalk Concrete, C.V.G. (Mayflower) of Norwalk, and Ventra Inc. of Sandusky. Ann enjoyed baking, gardening, and playing pool. She was a nature lover, enjoyed camping, and the companionship of her cats, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Larry I. Johnston of Norwalk; daughters and son-in-law, Amanda A. and Joe Herner of Clarksville, Tenn., and Marie L. Johnston of Norwalk; step sons, Larry I. and Cory Johnston Jr. of Strongsville, Ohio, and Robert P. and Tonya Johnston of Roseville, Mich.; brother, Craig W. Missler of Norwalk; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Mike Finch of Norwalk, and Loretta “Lori” and David Chaffee of Milan.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph A. Pyanowski, in 1988; and by her brother, Douglas Alan Missler in 1958.
Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at the funeral home, Rev. Kenneth Morman will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
