Nicholas Santana Jr., 63, of Monroeville passed away Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
He was born Dec. 9, 1946, in Honolulu, Hawaii, the son of Nicholas Sr. and Julia (Gualdarama) Santana. Nicholas worked in the maintenance department at J. H. Routh Packing Co. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of Monroeville Congregational U.C.C. and the Norwalk VFW. He enjoyed woodworking in his spare time.
Survivors include his wife, Janet (Krugman) Santana, whom he married July 13, 1968, in Bellevue; mother, Julia Santana of Waianaee, Hawaii; daughters, Christine (Chris) Smith of Monroeville and Leslie (Corbett) Ritzman of Oak Harbor; grandchildren, Glenn and Matt Ritzman, Shelby Ritzman, and Nicole and Noah Smith; brother, Melvin Santana of Waianaee; and sister, Penny Kuchta of Monroeville.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends will be received 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where a funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery.
