Kenneth McClure Caldwell, 95, of Sandusky and formerly Clearfield, Pa., passed away peacefully early Friday morning, Feb. 19, 2010, in the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky.
He was born Aug. 12, 1914, in Clearfield, the son of the late Roy and Alice (McClure) Caldwell. Ken was a graduate of Clearfield Area High School and was a World War II veteran of the 75th Army division. He retired from Kurtz Brothers School Supplies.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Rod) Litz of Sandusky; two grand-daughters, Amy (Tim) Didion of Sandusky and Nicole (Brian) Sabo of Luckey, Ohio; three great-grandchildren, Tony and Kasi Didion and Julia Sabo; sister, Winifred Caldwell of Clearfield; and other beloved family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Louise (Gearhart) Caldwell, whom he married in 1946; and two brothers, Herbert Caldwell and Merlin Caldwell in infancy.
There will be no visitation or services in Sandusky. Funeral services will be handled by Bennet-Houser Funeral Home, 312 E. Locust St., Clearfield.
