Thomas E. Kennedy, 86, of Palm Harbor, Fla., died Saturday Sept. 14, 2013, in Suncoast Hospice-Palm Harbor.
He was born in New Castle, Pa., and came to Oldsmar, Fla., in 1988 from Huron.
He worked for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company from 1951-1956, and was a pipe fitter for Ford Motor Co. in Sandusky, retiring in 1986 after 31 years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran during World War II, and also was a 32nd degree mason and a Shriner.
Survivors include his sons, Timothy T. Kennedy (Jewel) of St. Cloud, Fla., Thomas C. Kennedy (Sandra) of Castalia, Alfred A. McCloy (Judith) of Palm Harbor, Fla., Terry McCloy (Judith) of Stuart, Fla.; daughter, Marlene McDaniel of Cincinnati; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grand children; numerous nieces and nephews. He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories of special friend, Enid Scala; special niece, Kathy O'Loughlin; and four legged son Pepe.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian (McCloy); grandson, James T. B. Kennedy; brothers, Jack and Bill Kennedy; and son-law, Clete McDaniel.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at Stratford Court of Palm Harbor. A memorial and interment service to be held in Castalia, at a later date.
