Linda J. Orticari, 59, Willard, died early Sunday morning, Sept. 8, 2013, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, following a brief battle with cancer.
She was born June 18, 1954, in Toledo, Ohio, and was a 1972 graduate of Sandusky High School.
Linda retired from R.R. Donnelly & Sons, Willard, in 2009. Prior to that, she worked for 20-plus years at the Sears & Roebuck and Company in Sandusky. Linda had a love for animals, enjoyed bowling, and had a passion for world affairs and politics.
She is survived by one daughter, Aimee (Jim) Miller of Sandusky; one brother, Jeff (Roz) Orticari of Sandusky; one niece, Tasha Orticari of Vermilion; one great niece, Rainey Orticari of Vermilion; two granddaughters, Jaclyn Miller of Norwalk, and Samantha Miller of Sandusky; her companion, David Myers of Willard; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, JoAnn and Mel Johnson.
Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, and noon until time of funeral services at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. The Rev. John B. Mawhirter will officiate. Burial will be in Hester Cemetery, Bronson Township.
