William Charles Roeser, 66, Huron, died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born March 22, 1947, in Sandusky, to Betty Linz and Elmer Charles Roeser.
After graduating from Firelands High School in 1965, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam. After the service he worked as a technician in the natural-gas and heating, ventilation, and piping industries, retiring in 2012.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron, the Huron Township Conservation Club, the Huron Eagles Club, VFW, and the Berlin Township Farmers and Hunters Conservation Club.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl; children, Rodger (Lora) Roeser, Sarah (Scott) Arnold, Stephanie (Ryan) Dawson, Marley (Brian) Hastings, and Rudy (Lynette) Berger; nine grandchildren; and sister, Carol Champion.
Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron. A funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main St., Huron, with Rev. Jeffrey McBeth, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter School, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, or the Huron Fire Department Rescue Squad Fund.
