Willie Steve Irby Sr., 52, Sandusky, passed from this life Dec. 6, 2010, in The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland.
He was born Nov. 12, 1958, in Sandusky to Lamon Sr. and Bernice (Marshall) Irby. He was a graduate of Sandusky High School and attended Bowling Green State University majoring in secondary education. Willie was a member of The Assembly of Jesus Christ Church under the leadership of Elder Johnnie Cross, and was an ordained minister for The Pentecostal Assemblies of the World.
Leaving to cherish loving memories are his wife, Margie A. (Cross) Irby; daughter, Brittany N. Seavers; sons, Darcel Irby, Edward A. "John-John" Gresham, Johnnie William "Darren" Gresham, Djuan Seavers and Willie Steve Irby Jr.; mother, Bernice Irby; brother, Lamon (Brenda) Irby Jr.; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lamon Irby Sr.; and brother, Walter Irby.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Homegoing service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Elder Johnnie W. Cross, pastor of The Assembly of Jesus Christ Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
