Thomas Earl Sartor, 78, of Milan passed away Friday, March 5, 2010, in Fisher-Titus Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born April 15, 1931, in Sandusky. He was a corporal in the U.S. Army. He retired in 1989 from Chrysler Products, Sandusky. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Milan, where he was a lector, Eucharistic minister and volunteer. He was a member of the Milan Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Sartor is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Ronald Ripepi of Gilbert, Ariz.; son, Mark Sartor of Columbus; two grandchildren, Danielle Ripepi and Jake Ripepi of Gilbert; two sisters, Josephine McCormick of Sandusky and Theresa Alber of Florida; three brothers, Donald, Gerald and Anthony Sartor, all of Sandusky; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alphonse and Magdalen (Keller) Sartor; three brothers, Robert, Albert and Raymond Sartor; and his sister, Eloise Westerhold.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Monday in Groff Funeral Home, 1 S. Mail St., Milan. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 131 S. Main St., Milan. The Rev. Frank Speier will officiate. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
