Frank C. Larcomb, 89, of Castalia died Saturday afternoon, March 6, 2010, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus.
He was born July 22, 1920, in Ostrander, Ohio. He was a member of Congregational U.C.C., Castalia, and retired after 37 years from New Departure, where he worked as a machine repairman. Frank served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of Sandusky VFW 2529 and American Legion Post 83. He also was a member of University Lodge 0640 F&AM, Columbus.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary (Revenaugh) Larcomb; three daughters, Christine (James) Roberts of Sandusky, Charmaine (David) LaConte of Gilbert, Ariz., and Jennie (David) Hughes of Cincinnati; two grandchildren, Mark (Kristine) Chaney of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Christine Chaney of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; and two great-grandchildren, William and Christain Chaney, both of South Carolina.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Jennie (Graham) Larcomb; brother, Marion (Margaret) Larcomb; and sister Gertrude (Clyde) Crandall.
There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday in Castalia Cemetery; Pastor John Paputza will officiate.
Memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
