Jeanette Hritsko, 89, residing in Sandusky, passed away Friday evening, Aug. 30, 2013, in Admiral’s Pointe, Huron, following a brief illness.
She was born Feb. 14, 1924, in Sandusky, to Christ Karl and Josephine (Peterson) Wobser.
Jeanette retired from Scott Paper Company in Sandusky following 30 years of service, but most enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where she served on the bereavement luncheon committee. Jeanette enjoyed cooking, playing cards, family gatherings and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Tamara (Robert) Jett; and granddaughter, Genesis Jett both of Round Rock, Texas; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Including her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband. George R. Hritsko in 2004; three brothers, Edward, Ellsworth, and Richard Wobser; and three sisters, Audrey J. Kletzmeyer, Helen L. Wobser, and Mary Ferback.
Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at Groff Funeral Home and Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
